The Royal Mint struck for circulation about 2.184,320 pieces [475,200 in 1844] using an unrecorded number of dies with only 34 varieties seen [excluding proofs], consisting of 7 obverse dies paired with 34 reverse dies. On this Volume IV are posted varieties JC-40 to JC-43 as follow:
