I began collecting coins on June 1993. Several reasons beyond my own will, caused the entire liquidation of my collection in 1996. However the collection spirit remained dormant until around 2003 when I began to fill again some coin albums.
I became a numismatist in 2007. Apart from my major plan to complete my research on the lovely three halfpence, I collect also world coins by topics. I have written some articles for numismatic magazines in America and international as well.
I held the post of Secretary of the Cuban Numismatic Association [not affiliated with the Association of Cuban Numismatics, based in Habana, Cuba] during the year 2010. I established in the city of Tampa, Florida, in 2006, where lies the headquarter of this site.
I am member of the follow numismatic associations and clubs:

- American Numismatic Association BR# 1183256
- Florida United Numismatists M# 17602
- NGC Collectors Society M# 01571
- The British Numismatic Society M# 2818

Bill Pugsley has been collecting coins since 1965 and in recent years has focused his collecting on U.K. pre-decimal coins, covering silver coins [to include cupro-nickel] from 1816 to 1970, bronze coins from 1860 to 1970, brass three pence pieces and all fractional farthings [to include proof’s] from 1827 to 1913. He has taken a particular interest in colonial three half pence as well as the circulation silver two pence [struck in 1838 and 1848]. Bill’s other collections include model railways, stamps and comics – but his primary love is of U.K. coins.
Having established a computer software development business in 1973 which he sold in 2005, Bill continues to work as a non-executive director for a number of UK companies [including a former competitor of nearly twenty years]. More recently Bill has had articles published on different facets of coin collecting in the UK Coin News.

I originally started collecting as a young boy when I was the lucky recipient of a large collection of mainly 20th century British pennies and at the time was keen on collecting BT phone cards! Of which I still own today. However my interest in coins picked back up early in 2008 originally with an eye to investment as well as a growing appreciation of numismatics and has steadily picked up pace until at the beginning of 2011, I started my own site, AJW Coins.
From then on I started meeting various individuals, collectors, dealers and so on which helped me to develop my business/hobby. One of those people is Mr. Crespo, with whom I am happy to collaborate as a team in the development of this site.

I am member of the follow numismatic associations and clubs:

I first became interested in collecting coins some fifty years ago when I came across a 1953 Queen Elizabeth penny in my change at a time when there had hitherto only been George VI and earlier monarchs. I still have that coin which, unaware of the sin that I was committing, I dutifully polished.
I soon learned which coins were of value and I did my best to unearth any scarcer dates and those with higher silver content that formed the basis of a collection. In the 1960’s I would form sets of Mint coins, taken from my change that I would advertise for sale in an effort to finance my hobby.
With the advent of decimalisation in 1971 I began to lose interest and just saved sets of each new coin as it was issued and bought proof sets and coins from the Royal Mint Coin club.
Marriage, children and a career then intervened until my collecting gene was reactivated in 2004 when I discovered Ebay. I soon enhanced my collection and now have examples of nearly all British coins from 1797 to date, apart from gold coins, Maundy money and silver Crowns.
Now that I have retired I seem busier than ever improving my collection and in finding new varieties and variations. I have a particular interest in smaller coins particularly Farthings, Groats, Threepences and, of course, the Threehalfpence.
