Because it's nearly nothing in print about the British colonial three halfpence, I began doing my own research and started compiling notes since 2007 and created the site on May 2010, with the purpose of promoting as much information about the series, which will help collectors in identify the many varieties listed that I have the knowledge or beware of its existence. The images would be a perfect visual diagnostic tool while descriptions a great reference for identification within each coin.
I am actively collecting, photographing, compiling notes about the wonderful world of the small denomination coin with the hope to expand the website so I particularly forecast that it would become the online reference by excellence of the series by the autumn of 2013, by that time I am envisioning the publication of a book, that although such paper reference would not replace the online version, It will serve to the delight of those who do not feel comfortable, and prefer the old method of browsing the pages of a book, instead of using the computer.
The website is not enough to be 100% complete, some areas still under construction, thereby achieving a better approach to the collector of the series. I am working on the most appropriate description of each variety and an easy language of understanding to be enjoy by the amateur or advanced collector.
I am always open (for the inprovement to this website) to receive all comments, suggestions or if you have any detail of varieties that are not listed and may be sent them to info@colonialthreehalfpence.com or contact me via telephone at number 813-420-4610. It would be nice if collectors of this tiny coins, with more knowledge than I, would cooperate, something that is priceless and always welcome, so any article, photos or documents in general must be sent by postal mail to the following address:

Remember, feel free to contact me at any time if you have any 1½ D for sale or trade even just an upgrade, specially any desirable choice or gem uncirculated or proof specimen.
I began collecting coins in 1993. Strong reasons beyond my own will, caused the entire liquidation of my collection in 1996. However the "collection spirit" remained dormant until around 2003 when I began to fill again some coin albums.
I became a serious numismatist in 2007. Apart from my major plan to complete my research on the lovely three halfpence, I collect some British colonial and American coins by types.
I am member of different numismatic associations and some local clubs include:
I have written some articles for numismatic magazines in the U.S. and International as well.
A set of my collection of 1 ½ D just won award within British Sets, William IV Three Half Pence, Circulation Strikes (1834-1837) on competition for the finest or best of the 2010 PCGS Registry Winner in its category.
Currently a I am just a collector and researcher, not a coin dealer, as some have suggested, referring to the market place section on my website.
The little shop just help me to build my own collection, which is large and requires some budget, so liquidating some duplicates and others items is my way to manage to stay profitable. Enjoy my website, and I hope that we can help each other with the addiction that we share for the King of hobbies!!
